So I'm about to buy a 1985 XJ700 and the main fuse under the seat is fried. I wanted to ride it before I bought it so I was hoping to pick up a replacement fuse before I go up there tonight.

Does anybody know what type of fuse and what AMP-age I should get? It looked like some sort of weak in-line fuse...

I'm probably posting this too late but it is a 30amp fuse. Sorry for the late post but I cut the cable for my DSL earlier today. Got it spliced back together for now.

Thanks bluemaxim. I ended up just buying it anyway. It was super cheap for the amazing condition it's in. I'm replacing the old POS in-line fuse with a new waterproof blade in-line fuse. I can't wait to get this thing running!

Thanks for the info though, better late than never!
