Hello, I'm selling this bike for a friend who moved out to California.

About 10,500 miles on the odometer. Brand new tires. Starts right up and can turn the choke off after 30 seconds. Turbo works as it should, it kicks in around 3kRPM and will spin the tire in 1st gear. Fresh oil in the engine and driveshaft.

Comes with a bill of sale. CT does not issue titles for bikes older than 20 years (I have DMV paperwork stating this to go with the bill of sale)

$1400 obo. Local pick up in West Hartford, CT.
    860-977-9116. Please call or text.

    Shane,

I can't help but think that's a 1992 not 1982. I'm local and noticed it on Craigslist too.

Good luck with the the sale.

I stand corrected, 6500 manufactured in 1982 and 1500 in 1983. Clearly the look was way ahead of its time.

    Copied from a PM--
    ------------

That is not a good looking bike. I'm no expert on XJ's but I didn't think Yamaha made fairings that big until much later.

I didn't say THIS one was a good looking one.... I think this one has an ugly color scheme. I like the originals, though.

Yeah its been on craigslist for a few months now. They only made the seca turbos for two years as far as I know, 82-83. If i were keeping it I would paint the whole thing black like the one they used in the James Bond movie

I have to disagree , the barn door fairing on my 78 XS1100E was HUGE
That came with touring kit. Even with that it could out torque any bike in a 50 mph rollon in 5th gear!

You HAVE read about the stunt-double they used for the 650 turbo, right?
