    Hello,

I am about to start wiring up my xj750 with the motogadget m-unit. I am planning to keep the safety circuit, with side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch.

Here's the wiring diagram I've drawn up, let me know if you spot any issues with it.

I rewired my bike using the munit and the mbutton. When i did it i kept all of the saftey features but ditched all the relays and diodes except for the starter relay.

Jaydough helped me with the saftey enhancement by linking them all together with the saftey switch. if one breaks the circuit the bike shuts off.

I am out at the moment but if you search for some of the threads i started you can find the diagram used for it.

I do recommend the mbutton. It cleans up a lot of the wiring for the switches.

    Hey sybe,

I'm curious to know how you connected the TCI to the m-unit. Did you connect the R/W wire from the TCI (it is spliced to connect the coils, Starting circuit cutoff relay, sidestand relay, and kill switch to 12v+ on the stock harness) to the AUX output on the m-unit?

yup, it connects to the R/W wite into the TCI and then splits to the coils. The beauty of this setup is if you ever wanted to do a compression test. You no longer need to disconnect the TCI. Just make sure the engine kill switch is off to disable the TCI and hit the start button.

    This diagram should help.
