Starter solenoid? Trying "jumping" (using a big insulated screwdriver AND THE BIKE IN NEUTRAL!) the two terminals and see if the engine cranks....

Or, if the engine currently can be spun over with the starter but the engine won't fire, then the "click" you here may be one of the many safety relays on the bike energizing.

    But how old is it?
A battery can have a full charge, but fail under load (even a brand new battery can do this).

What does the battery voltage drop to when you thumb the starter button?

If we can rule out the battery it makes checking everything else less likely to be futile.

you should hhear 2 relays click the one under the seat and one under the frame under the coils
sidestand safety switch relay and starter cut off relay.

you can unplug the side stand relay and see if the bike starts.
is your neutral light coming on?

by cafe racer do you meen someone modified the bike should be seca or maxim , what side is the disc brake on as you sit on the bike ? Left is maxim right is seca

here is an interactive wiring diagram for seca will work for maxim just a few differences

Had the same problem after swapping my engine, I had my signal wire crossed for my right rear signal, I fixed it and the chatter stopped and the bike started. So check your connections. The signal relay just kept klicking. Sounds dumb but electronics are weird.
