I have made a confussing discovery.
    How heavy is my bike?

On this site (and other places online) I find that my bike should be around the 250kg mark

    But then I see this

    436kg!!!!

    Which is correct?

I have not yet found a convenient weighbridge to test this out on but my curiosity is peeked.
When man handling the bike I find it difficult to believe +400kg (that´s almost half a metric tonne)!!!!!

Manufacturer weight is almost always given for a completely dry machine (no gas, no oil, no battery acid (sometimes no battery at all).
The 244 kg wet weight is correct, or close to.

If this is the case, then someone really screwed up with the frame plate in the Euro models then.

What this could be is the weight of the bike plus 2 passengers, fully loaded weight.

    240kg wet weight
    2 x 95kg guys (190kg)
This equals about the 436kg on the plate

    Could this be?

436kg is the maximum weight of the bike fully loaded with fuel, gear and rider/passenger. Not the weight of the bike itself.
