New to the club here...first bike and I'm trying to identify it. The title says 82' Yamaha. The only thing I know is that it's a maxim, but I have no idea if it's a 550,650,750, how can I tell? Serial and VIN lookup doesn't give me anything (unless someone knows of a good site). 6 gears that much I know (from reading it on the side of the bike)

    Thanks!

Another way to tell is to look at the base of the cylinders between the middle two exhaust headers. The engine size is cast into the barrels there.
Though the 6-speed is a dead giveaway.

I do have a paper one yes (The guy I bought it from said it was HIS first bike and wasn't sure if the manual was for that bike, but you cleared that up) Things would be easier if I had a PDF of this one that I can search by keyword through :)
