Gunson Colortune. Cheap, effective, and won't require welding in bungs.

Len (Chacal) has both the Gunson Colortune and the Morgan Carbtune. Start a conversation with him if you're interested.

Colortune is used for pilot mixture. You can't analyze your bike off idle unless its under load, so the colortune is not applicable off idle unless you could somehow watch it while driving. Regardless you can only run it a few minutes anyway.

Wideband will give you the AF ratio at any throttle but unless you can log it along with other data such as throttle position/slide position and RPM its's going to be useless. Plug chops are the way to go. Its a little time consuming and you need a stretch of long preferably private road but it can be fun.

so i looked it up so you can make them using apoxy? is that correct?

and yes i would guess its as bad as messing with pods but im also changing the velocity stacks by making them shorter so im really going to be in for a fun time

Just do one thing at a time, and take copious notes.

A Colortune will tell if you are close off-idle without load so you don't have to spend as much time with plug chops.

yes but do not use 5 minute epoxy . the longer cure the stronger.
I used a plastic screw cap on the end to retain the pour.

i would recomend a face shield when viewing the plug.

If you do buy the colortune, make sure you buy new through a reputable seller like chacal or keep an eye on what you are bidding on. There are two models, the older one has some flaws that are corrected with the newer one. I thought I got a heck of a deal on mine until I had issues with the spark jumping outside and found out there was an older one. I was able to fix but it reduced the area of the window I can view. Doh!
