In the last season I've bought a new X-Ring chain, NOS rear sprocket, new air filter, new mufflers, rebuilt and synced carbs, rebuilt brake calipers and master cylinder. Custom seat with new foam and nice marine vinyl. New clutch cable. New brake pads and shoes. New battery. Cleaned and sealed gas tank. New front tire, quite a bit of life left in the rear tire. Fresh Cadillac Pearl paint. I'm sure there were some things I'm missing, but that's all I can think of right now. Anything that needed fixed or replaced to make it dependable, I rebuilt or replaced. It was sitting in a barn for 10 or 15 years when I found it, so that means everything has been gone through, more or less.

Has 17600 miles on it, put nearly 3,000 miles on it in the last year. Rode it to work daily, just last month I strapped a tent to it and rode it 1600 miles to Arkansas and back on a camping trip.

I do have the factory front fairing/windscreen as well. The luggage rack was custom made and bolts right onto the frame, can be unbolted and removed easily.

Price is OBO, moving and can't take it with me.

It looks a little dirty in some of the pictures, and that's only because it is. It cleans up really well, I just haven't had the time after I got back from camping. 150 miles of riding through a monsoon at highway speeds will put some dirt on a bike.

I just realized I didn't put the price. $1300 is what I'm asking for it. I personally think it's worth more, and I definitely got more in it, but I'm moving to the east coast soon and it's either going to get sold or get stored in a barn forever.

If I didn't just pick up a second bike, I'd be all over this. Great looking bike and GLWS.

Have the same bike. I really like the seat and would really like a luggage rack like that. Also, getting ready to fix up some dent and cracks, then paint this winter. nice to see a new color on the XJ550 Seca!
