    Hi all.
Has anyone tried or know of anyone who has tried to fit a Vmax rear wheel to a XJ750? Came across some spare parts for sale that got me wondering how easy this would be? Iwonder if the whole driveshaft / swing arm could be swapped over?
    Thoughts??

The V-Max wheel is much too wide to fit. 150 vs. 120 (or 130 if you have a Maxim). Given that a 130 rear will just barely fit without rubbing on a XJ750, there is no way that a 150mm rear tire is going to work.

I suspect (but can't confirm) that a swingarm swap will run into driveshaft alignment issues.

There may be enough room to notch the 750 draveshaft housing for the Virago wheel/tire combo and still leave enough clearance for the driveshft to spin without toching the housing.

There are a few old threads on here about fitting wider tires that will come up in a google search when you constrain the search with site:xjbikes.com after your keywords.

FYI: The V-max swing arm is roughly 30mm wider than the XJ750 unit where it pivots in the frame, so not an easy, 'drop in' swap.
No surprise really, butat least I know for sure! :)
