    FYI: Found this on the web:

    <http://pdftown.com/Yamaha-XJ-550-Service-Manual.html>

    It appears to be a scan of the orginal service manual. It took me 4 times to d/l it, but it eventually came down.

    I was able to download it, but it seems to only be the glossary of what is in the manual, oh, and the cover and back cover.

    hurm. I got a series of PDFs; one for each chapter and in three languages. Seemed to have more information than my Cylmer.

    I will have to look at it again when I get home, but I didn't see anyway to turn pages, or scroll down or anything.

    yeah, it took me a couple of times before it finally worked, but when it didn't I got an error message (could not open file).
    Here's what files should be included in the zip:

    I have really slowed down to look at them, and either the file works now, (ha) or I actually have learned more of what I am supposed to see there. It's all there and impressive. Thanks for the link.

    Sorry for the noob question.

    This looks like the seca manual. Is the seca manual the same as the maxim?
