For your viewing pleasure--Len (xj4ever) has everything you need to restore your carbs. Here's a taste for you.

    But first, the "Before" pics:

    The BLING

    image.jpeg image.jpeg

So, as I said earlier---ALL the new stuff is from Len. This includes not only some inner parts, but also everything you see:

    -Replated rails
-New bolts, screws and attaching hardware
    -Replated brackets
    -Replated enricher hardware
    -New bowl screws
    -New fuel T
    -New sync screws and springs
    -New Carb diaphragm

Etc.... and it's all the correct plating and color, too. About the only thing that could make it better yet would be to media-blast the carb bodies........ Which will get done on another upcoming rack---- TBD.

The owner of this rack will be notified of this forum shortly..... He hasn't seen it yet :)

If you want these parts for your rack, Len is the guy to talk with!

    Thank you Len!!

Also just curious do the carbs have a the heat shield? Or whatever you wanna call it on the bottom?

I'm working on loading more pics but my phone isn't cooperating--

ALL the new parts are from Len. When I get the pics finally to load, I'll describe everything there.

    The heat shield---

    1. Is not there
    2. Did not come to me with the rack
    3. Is not necessary/useful
    4. Does nothing but cause trouble because once you install it:
-you can't do your wet float setting
-you nullify any thread lock you out on if you remove it
-you alter the carb alignment and sync settings as soon as you remove it.

Why? Because all the screws that hold it on are the same screws that hold the bottom rail and idle speed screw in place.

Nope... If one is on a rack, I talk with the owner. Invariably, it gets sent back along with the rack, but separate. It's theirs. If I get parts racks or racks to rebuild, they stay on the rack til breakdown, then stay separate but with the rack. Misc parts racks are separated out, and I do have a few extra heat shields in case some one needs one.

Oh my....... I almost feel bad putting those on my bike without sanding and powdercoating everything first... Those are truly stunning. Len, Dave, I can't express how excited this makes me! I'll be in touch with both of you soon!

Yeah.... You'll need to do your whole bike now--- otherwise your carbs alone will make the rest of the bike look rough!! Lol

Nope, not bent. camera lens distortion?I think you're probably looking at the pic from the airbox side.... If you look carefully, you'll see the diagonal is actually a reflection.

Not so far as I can tell, but I'll look at it before it goes out, and adjust if needed. i still think it is coloration and reflection/light deflection
