1981 XJ550 Maxim

I'm selling my loved Yamaha Maxim XJ550. This bike is in great condition. There are only 6xxx miles on it (I'm still riding it). This year alone it has a new master cylinder, dot 4 brake fluid, brake pads, battery, spark plugs, oil change (with filter), Mac 4 into 1 exhaust, had the carbs cleaned and tuned, Sylvania Silverstar headlight installed, and a new tach. cable.
This bike starts up everytime and runs great! The paint is in excellent shape and the bike purs like a kitten. The exhuast has a great tone to it too.
I even got a compliment from a Harley rider the other day, he commented that the bike was in nice shape and he liked it. This bike is very quick and handles very well. I've put over 1,000 miles on it this summer and have loved every mile.

Well, it sold tonight.....she'll be missed. But on to some other projects I still have a xj700 and a xv750 to get going this winter.

 

How much did you get for it?

 

$1100...........asking price. Not bad for a bike we picked up for $500 + new exhaust, and a bit of work. Now onto some new projects!
