I was out riding yesterday (My bike was in a good mood, and off her period, no PMS) because she was running good (she doesnt run good when shes in a bad mood). Anyway. went for a long ride and took her on some pretty sharp corners, I leaned over so far that my boot scraped the ground, Didnt lay her down tho. I figgured that was a little to far tho and decided to take the corners a little slower. has anyone ever done this? I wonder how far you can lean without laying it down, I'm affraid to find out.

Depends on how big your kahunas are!! I myself have had my bike to where I ground off some of the bottom side of the foot peg.

Heh... in my BRC class, the instructor told me I was having a little bit too much fun in the "turning at speed" exercise, because I kept scraping my boots. Yes, I have big feet, but I was riding a dirt bike (or, technically, a dual-sport, I guess) - you've got to lean that thing over pretty far to drag something...

Yep in the brc class I had the dirt bike too, the instructor had three of us out there while he was talking to the others, we were fling it was fun, don't think he liked it two much, they were his bikes after all. You can lean a bike quite aways, that's why they put that tread on the sidewalls anyway right. gotta make sure you were your tires out evenly. or it's a waste of a tire

I was riding once with a buddy of mine who has an 87 FJ1200. He's got a pair of SIDI riding boots, he came in a corner and I saw sparks from his foot peg. I've scraped a little bit of some Doc Martin on the side of the road too. It'll make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

You aren't livin' until you've scraped hard parts. Let the sparks fly.

Every couple of years I have to replace my boots because the heels are too worn down to walk in them anymore.
