I stand correct. Chacal has them form $90-some bucks. I just felt that was more than I was willing to spend on cosmetic.
I don't have any red covers, sorry.. just 2 white ones which have a home.

I wish there was a bike scrap yard around here. I used to love "shopping" a local car scrap yard when I was younger and pulled many good parts from there!

    Ever find that side cover?

Ever since I picked up a great condition 550 Seca for $200 (missing both side covers) I too have searched far and wide for the elusive red right side cover. I searched and searched for a long time before one day I checked ebay for the 200th time, with no expectations of actually finding one, and I found both Left/Right side covers for about $40 for the set. They had some cracks and were spray painted black, very poorly I might add... I removed the spray paint with brake fluid only to confirm my suspicion that they were off of a white Seca... :( I plan on buying the matching red paint from ColorRite and repainting them or wrapping them in a red/black carbon fiber weave if I can't eventually find a right side one that's already red.

So the moral of the story is... unfortunately I don't have a red right side cover for u but stay vigilant. If u keep checking eBay and the sale section of this lovely forum eventually u will find one. Keep searching even when it's the last thing on your mind, cause that's probably when u will find it  Just be prepared to get it in not so great condition and/or a different color. The last good condition red one I saw sold on eBay for more than I would want to pay so if u do find a nice red one be prepared to pay a good bit for it... The 2 I picked up were painted like garbage but they were cheap enough that I can repair and repaint them for about the same cost, or less than one decent red one. I don't know if u wanna try to repaint and/or repair yours when u do finally find it or if u prefer to pay more for one that already matches but just keep at it, eventually u will find it. U may even find a perfect one cheap ;)

And if u don't maybe u could get someone on the forum to 3D print a copy of their right side cover for u. I'd do it for u but I don't own a 3D printer... yet...

Still in search mode as always.... The search is part of the fun! I just went to a salvage yard near me to look for one no side covers but did pick up a 1980 xj650 maxim that was there that needs serious attention along with a 750 seca complete carb so it wasnt a total loss. I have a real problem with "posers" so 3D is out haha
