I just purchased a 1982 XJ 650. Got it running fairly well. I want to purchase a sissy bar/back rest and luggage rack. Have searched locally with no luck.

Want to ride with son and his two kids and need sissy bar to keep them on.

Thanks for any leads. I am fabricator and welder, but would rather find a used one.

Running fairly well isn't good enough, especially if you are going to have little ones on board.

Did you attend to safety items, such as checking the date codes on the brake lines and rebuilding the master cylinder and caliper, along with checking the rear brake shoes for delamination?

Congrats on the bike and good luck with the sissy bar! I second k-moe, stopping is as important as going. My 7 year old loves riding with me but has yet to go on the new one (it's killing him too) until I sort my front brake out.

Well, my son is on the back of this bicycle. This was taken a few years ago. We will probably be riding two motorcycles with two people on each for the next posted photo, however.

I've also been looking for one for quite a while for my 82 650 Maxim. I've been copying I've been copying a lot of photographs with people that have them I just need to find somebody locally here around Indianapolis that has one that I could measure sometime. But for now but for now I need to get it running again first
