Looks legit, curious to see what someone is willing to put up to ride it away.

"This Collectable motorcycle has 239 original miles. I bought it brand new out of the crate 1 month ago . with 1 mile on it.
The original owner of this bike, his family owned the Yamaha shop near me for 40 years. He had a collection of bikes.... and decided to sell them, took this one out of the crate this year to look it over, before he decided to sell it..to me"

It's legit, He's a regular on the TMIOA (turbo bikes) forum....I remember when he asked the question "should I or shouldn't I ride it?"....Wow, If it was me I wouldn't know what to do :?

I have a feeling it's the lowest mileage turbo seca on the planet, except for maybe a few museum pieces somewhere on display. Judging from the pictures he has, it certainly looks like it just came out of the crate....I'm slightly jealous :p

Get on the bike and ride is my outlook. Yamaha made these bikes to ride. What fun is a bike behind a glass wall?

I disagree. Most of these bikes are gone, used up, worn out, ratty or forgotten. It's nice to have a perfect snapshot in time of how it was back when the bike was a minter. There's a beautiful XN turbo on Ebay right now too. It's already north of $5000.

XJs are ment to be ridden!

I always feel a bit sad when I see a museum bike. I long to see (and hear) it on the road in it's natural environment, even if just once a year.
