I just bought a 1985 xj700n and i'm wanting to put some footrests that are closer to the front wheel so i can rest my legs outstretched on a longer ride. If anyone knows where to get the parts and how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

I bought some universal pegs but the didn't stick out far enough. I just want the front highway pegs and not the whole front controls. Any ideas i'd be glad to hear them. By the way i've had the bike for 2 days now and i love it but would prefer it to be louder so if you have any ideas on that to please let me know. I will add some pics soon.

I notice your bike does not have frame sliders on the front motor mounts, as mine does. If it did, highway pegs mounted on the slider bars would stick out far enough to clear the motor. Highway pegs will be my next add-on, and are available from most parts suppliers, or on E-bay. Eventually I would like to move my controls forward. Thanks for the link Worm.
