Has anyone out there put a sidecar on an XJ750. I just bought an XJ that was rescued from a chop shop minus the gas tank, and looking at my options ... hmmmmm.

I have a Velorex on my XJ760RJ. It carries the load with balast
or passenger just fine. There is plenty of advice available on how
to mount and align a sidecar and a dedicated group on Yahoo.
    Good luck,
    Jim

I've seen them on ebay - you can even get a sidecar for a 150cc Vespa!
Look on ebay motors and type in sidecar... see what sort of prices you might be dealing with, or just get the name brands fo manufactured sidecars to have more research fuel.

Absolutely not! Almost anything will pull a chair.
My XT500 used to have an observed trials sidecar. I spent many happy years riding an XL250 outfit with home made double adult bodywork. Back in the sixties (The Sixties-not the sixties I'm in now!) I drove an AJS Model 18 with Tilbrook sidecar.
As Jeepsteve said, people even put sidecars on Vespas!
Outfits are great fun on the road. You can get excitement and adrenalin rush at 30mph! (Listening to your pillion passenger scream as the boat rises from the road in a left hander is chuckle provoking). They are also wonderfully practical for doing the shopping.
I do however, strongly suggest that you find a VERY large open space when you are learning to ride it. It takes quite a while for most riders to get used to using the throttle to turn!

My owners manual states quite sternly that my bike is NOT designed for a sidecar or a trailer. Maybe there's a way, but I'm thinking Yamaha wouldn't condone it. Good luck.
