for what it would cost to have a shop do repairs , you could do it yourself and buy any special tools you need and still come out ahead of the game.
just ask any questions or about what you want to do the answers are all here

Once you get started you will find that with help from the guys on here and a manual, none of the fixes are really that hard to do. In fact I thought it was really quite fun!

A small request. Please try to keep everything about the bike in one topic. It gets confusing trying to jump around different topics to figure out what has been done.

How do you know the coil and wires are bad? If you haven't cranked the engine how do you know there isn't spark?

Have you done the commensurate "Compression Test" on each cylinder?

Also, if its been sitting 7 years, don't hesitate. Just pull the carbs and start scrubbing now -- on my 650, 97% of performance issues have been linked to carb tune! (+/-3% margin of error)
Check the xj4ever catalog & drop a line to Chacal for the carb rebuild items you'll need.

Good luck.. kinda want a 550!

Maybe because they are not there?

This is the link to all the fotos i take today, is it to much to ask for your opinion?
What should i do first, and what pieces are missing on the engine?
also, does anyone know if i can merge 2 toppics?
