i quite like the idea of fitting the big 'old Seca headlight to my Maxim.

Would it be a case of straight swap using the Seca brackets, and plug and play connections?
Or would it be more tricky than that?

Did I ask a dumb question? Or a tricky one?

Which maxim do you have? I have the 750 and looked into replacing my headlight with a round one. As I recall, the only option that was a direct bolt on was from the 1100. I have seen that others were able to get other combinations to work, it just required a little effort.

It's a 650 Maxim. I just fancy a bigger diameter on the headlight

And so does every 650 seca owner that has had the factory headlight removed at some point. The big 9" round headlight from the 650 seca are extremely difficult to find. and expensive when you do.

You are probably better off looking for an aftermarket option.
