We rode the bike for about 50-60 miles, got home and switched it off. Needed to move it later and the bike wont turn over, every time I hit the start button the oil light flashes. I'm assuming its an electrical issue and have put in a new fully charged battery and checked the regulator. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help? I am new to bikes so will need Lehman terms. :)

Many thanks for any help it is most appreciated.

Not familiar with the 600 divy but it sounds like dirty, corroded electrical connections and/or bad grounds.

in XJ bikes the oil light comes on when you hit starter it is a test for the bulb.

did you try jumping across the solenoid to turn starter, or bump starting?

could be bad starter , solenoid .
does horn and tail light brake light and directionals work?
