    image.jpeg image.jpeg Hey john,
I made some for mine because when I got my bike they were not with the bike anymore. I got a piece of 16 gauge sheet metal and made the template for both sides and one for where the seat went since I went with a sole seat. I am in the process of painting them now but here are some pics so you can see what they look like.

I've always been a big fan of mesh style side covers - drill some holes :)

On a side note your MC res looks kinda none-horizontal...

Ribo I was thinking about drilling some holes in the covers. And what do you mean my MC res looks none-horizontal?

Is that the final routing plan for the speedometer cable? Tire might wear through it during parking-lot manouvers.

No it's not. I am not going to run a speedometer. I just have not taken it off yet

I appreciate it. Based on the knowledge I see you have with these bikes I am sure I will be asking you questions k-moe.

Is that the final position for your MC Res or it still not fixed. If it's fixed then it looks tipped back - also it look like you might be using the original MC here which has a tilted res. This was done by Yamaha to keep it horizontal on the OEM bars but on straight bars it's a potential major safety hazard -- you could suck air into the brake line when you need it most.

Oh I see what you are saying. Nothing is in the final fittment stages yet. That pic was just after I finished the side covers. And I was just wanting to see what the bike would look like with drag bars.

Appreciate the opinions guys but as I've been sitting around looking at photos and coming up with ideas I think going to go with perforated stainless for mine

There was a custom Maxim posted on Craigslist a while back that had vinyl records for side covers.

I thought it was creative but not to my taste.
