hey everybody - I was a pretty regular poster here years back - got a lot of help from this forum on my '81 Seca 750 - mainly sorting out the carbs.

But then, life really got in the way big time and I had to put the seca on hold. . .

spent about the last 5 years just running a tank of gas through it just to make sure it would still run. last couple years i just drained the tank, and luckily - i refilled it.

anyhow - i did a serious deep clean of the garage, unburied the seca, and I'm happy to learn that with jumper cables off my 4whlr, she started right up - hadn't run since the summer before last.

so, now i'll be getting her road worthy once again

    wish me luck

No luck needed, you had the smarts to not leave old gas in her. Now time to do all the fluids. Maybe even new tires after that long.
Give her hell after that! And keep the rubber side down:)

    Hey Hogfiddles, I'm a Dave F, too - weird, man . . .

Stumplifter - yes, I have a long history with Primus - was very dissapointed that the Les and Dean Ween fishing show never took off . . .

Toomanybikes - yup, new tires are in the plan. And new brake pads. fork seals, rear shocks. . . and then we'll decide where to go from there. Luckily my new job has lots of down time and access to a metal fab shop, so I can get creative if I want to . . . I'm pretty sure the last oil change coincided with the spin-on adapter kit from Chacal however many years ago, too
