XS 750 pistons fit in XJ 750?

    Will pistons from a XS 750 fit in my XJ 750?

    If the motorcycle you refer to is an xs 750 triple, then no it won't

    yes it will ......................... IF you get a big enough of a hammer, Might only run for a revolution or two :)

    Reality it probably won't work

    You have to measure the Pistons themselves. And, then the wrist pins need to be the same too.

    Knowing how Yamaha likes to use what they have when they come-up with something a little different ... they might.

    But, without having the specs to compare ... you don't know until you actually compare the pistons and get an accurate measurement of the O-D and length of the Skirt.

    An I mistaken in thinking that the piston and jug size would be increased on a 750 triple??
    Or is it just a bigger jug with a longer throw on the crank?

    No. I missed the part about triple.

    That would make it a different hole and piston.
    If you need pistons, i ran across a place on the net that makes custom pistons. I think it said New Mexico ... but I can't find it again!

    It a crying shame that Yamaha is turning away from making anything for our bikes. I guess when everything is gone ... that's it.

    I guess we have to have some aftermarket speciality shops open up.
