Hi all,had an engine oil leak, thought it was the head gasket, so I fitted a new base and head gasket
But again I have an oil leak. But it's not from the head or base gasket, same leak as before,it seems to be coming out just below the head gasket front view, seems to be coming out where number two or three headstud stems are, just behind the oil cooler. Definitely isn't the head gasket and its too high to be the base gasket, anyone had this problem? Its a YICS XJ650 MODEL. Thanks.

Ok here are the things I would ask was the surface clean and properly torqued? A good way to pin point a leak is baby powder put in area of leak .

It seemed like you were saying that you had no oil cooler.

Next question. Who's head gasket kit did you use? There is at least one brand that supplies a cam tunnel gasket that is too thick.
