I just did mine and it cleared up a whole slew of electrical problems. You might also check all the ground wires on your frame, and expecially the two on the ignition coils, those were pretty corroded on mine.

Should I re wire the use box area and run new in line fuses? It has been done prior to me owning the bike. I will also check my grounds. I do believe it is in the old glass fuse area. Thanks I will try that and let everyone know. If not where is a good place to get parts to fix these types of problems?

Hit up Chacal's for sale post. He has the fuse panel your looking for.

seems like more of a fuel problem than an electrical problem... if the lights continue to work throughout, after a couple tries there might be enough fuel in the bowls to continue running. Do you use the bike everyday, or does it sit for a bit between starts? If you ride for a bit and turn it off, is it hard to start again after only a few minutes?

replaced fuse block also checked all the grounds. I will see today if it still does it. If so I have only one option, which is the pick-up coil. Thanks for the advice.

after changing the fuse block out with a new one the problem does not seem to be there anymore. Also having a hard time finding aftermarket parts any suggestions?

Looking for parts? See the Sell, Trade, Swap, Wanted forum. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask for it. With over 2,200 members, someone's bound to have an extra one.

    Then there's always Ebay.
