Does anyone know the Yamaha part number for the Rods in a 1986 Maxim X 750? I'd like to see if they are still available but the only number I can find is for the 700cc. Also if you happen to have a set of 4 new rods for the 750 lets talk.

Thanks Tony but that number lists for the 700. Should the 750 not have a longer connecting rod as I thought stroke was shortened to get the 700cc. Or is is the crank that is different?

I'm not a parts guy, I just provided the link to the FZ750 rods. The 1AE prefix on the front of the cylinder jugs of my 750 matches that of the FZ. However the 1FL prefix is what is stamped on my block for the engine serial #. Glad Len chimed in with the correct #.

Yes the cranks are different. The 750 has a 51.6mm stroke as opposed to the 700 with it's 48mm stroke. Both have a 68mm bore. As far as I know the crank, rods and pistons are all different. I'm sure Len can help verify that.

Is that the case? Crank, Rods and Pistons are all different or is it just the crank?
