82 XJ650 Maxim compatible wiring harness?

    Hey guys, Im having trouble finding a 1982 maxim xj650 wiring harness. I found a xj 550 maxim harness on eBay that the seller says will work with my 650. I was hoping to find an exact match and not have to deal with extra/missing wires and connectors and wire color differences. Can anyone tell me what xj bikes harnesses are interchangeable and what differences there are? Id really appreciate it, thanks guys!

    The seller is wrong. you'll need a harness from an 82-83 XJ650 Maxim, or to repair yours
