Anyone ever tried this? I haven't had a chance but I'm not sure I believe that it works as easily as he demonstrates.

sure - KMoe has been talking about that for a bit here and there. I have yet to try it - but heck; why wouldn"t ya?
Kroil is great but overspray . . . . I'm going for the candle next time. Or maybe just grab some beeswax from some extra frames we have . . .

I've successfully used this method (although I actually did use a torch) for a few bolts here and there, and even a stuck jet. I don't necessarily recommend using it on your jets though, since then you have to get melted wax out of there...

I've heard a 50/50 mix of acetone and trans fluid works great ????

Replying to myself is kind weird . . . . The other day I had to replace the gasket on my tractor exhaust. Heated the rusty nuts grabbed a chunk of paraffin, touched it to them, watched it wick in and things loosened up super easy.

Unfortunately you need space and non-flammable surroundings to make this happen - as I eye up freeing the rusty fasteners holding the radiator/ fan cowl on the wife's jeep.

@Stumplifter You can use a heat gun instead of a torch.
