XJ700X Valve Adjustment Pad Diameter

    What is the outside Valve Adjustment Pad diameter for an xj700X? 7.48mm or 9.48mm. Just doin some research.

    The adjustment pad (lash cap) itself has a diameter of 6.98 mm.

    Lets see. my new found freind mike the designer here on xjbikes says that the valve adjuster pads or lash caps are 9.55mm and you say they are 6.89. wonder what they really are? Any one else gonna be my 2 outta 3?

    I didn't measure them...I was just guessing at an approximate diameter.
    I can go out and measure....but I wouldn't doubt the 6.8mm at all.
    I haven't had one in my hands for almost a year now.

    To just complete this (measured with a vernier caliper):

    outside is 7 mm, inside is 5 mm (which is the important one because of the fit over the valve stem)

    be aware thickness of the topside does not always equal the marking on the side
