So my idle bolt that is in between carb 2 and 3 is screwing in when I give the bike gas. So that little by little once I let off the throttle the bike it reving super high.

    Has anyone seen this?

I was thinking of using some super thick grease on the bolt. or using a nut to tighten it down.

There is a spring in the assembly to keep that from happening, is it still there?
Are you sure its not the throttle cable getting hung up on something?

There is not a spring. Never was one when I got the bike. It's not the throttle cable, I can give the bike some throttle and watch it turn.

there should be a spring on the threaded portion of the idle knob . it is 8.25 mm O.D. and 11.2 mm long very stiff , hard to compress between the finger and thumb

    You need to get one,
PM our parts supplier Chacal, he will get you the right one. There also might be some plastic spacers missing , get those too.
Don't try to use a hardware store spring, it won't be the right size or spring tension. It most likley won't work well.

the spacer is built into the knob and there is only a gromet(bush) that the knob slides through

jmcgrew we share a lot of the same problems. Mine revs up as well but I assumed it to be a vacuum leak. I'll have to see if my spring is missing as well.
