I know this picture doesn't hold a candle to the fiery Autumn colors you guys get in New England...

but we are known as The Evergreen State, after all. Not too bad if I do say so, myself.

This shot was taken looking east from Silverton on the Mountain Loop Highway.

    Nice picture Gamuru

If I get out to the Laurel Highlands this weekend, I'll snap some shots of the PA fall leaves. I am starting to see a lot of bright reds and oranges. :D

I hope it stays around for my wedding on the 27th. :D

Yeah, Don, I was on that road on my bike Saturday. I didn't have my camera with me, though. If the sun comes out again this fall, I'll have to get shooting. Thanks for the pic.

    That's awesome....

It makes me miss Upper Michigan - this time of year the trees turn bright-red, and on a sunny day they're almost hard to look at.

We are approching Peak ... The "Leaf Peeper" Bus Tours are starting-up going up into NH ...

Weather permitting ... I'll hop on the Max and zoom up to an overlook and snap a pic or two.

Then, I have to appeal to the Big-Shot's for a little bit more photo space or just put them in my Album.

Well, Oklahoma weather struck again last night... I have 2 huge branches laying in the back yard and our 30 ft. bradford pear is now 6 ft, thanks to 70mph winds. :-(

    Don,

When my wife moved from the Seattle area to Arkansas she was really blown away by fall, and having grown up there and in Florida really hadn’t prepared her for trees that turn colors and fall away. She wondered why she had never paid any attention to the leaves before, and then later realized that they were the Evergreen state, and that’s why she had been so oblivious. Now we live in Philly and the only change in seasons here seems to be when our neighbor down the street changes her decorations on the house.

So for Washington, that is a great shot.

    Jon

The weatherman has ordered a batch of wind for us, tonight, too. We'll see if it arrives or not.

jdpesz, if you get over this way again, pm me and I'll meet up with you.

I look forward to seeing some of your own pictures from around the countryside.

Thank you! I have convinced the fiance that it would be a good idea for her to ride 2-up with me this weekend for the fall leaf viewing. Should be a great ride.

The colors are great. The items that made me think of the Southertier of NY state are the wet leaves and the deer crossing sign. Never a fun combination, but beautiful to look at.

Ahh yes, Pittsburghese. Please see this small Pittsburghese dictionary

    http://www.sesraw.com/Birdra/pitt.htm

It is spelled yunz, but no one in Pittsburgh can spell, so the spelling varies.

    :D

My father grew up in Waynesburg PA which is 1 hourish south of "Da Burg".
I'm failliar with some of those terms, I used to play down in Ruff Crick behind my grand mothers house.
