Looking for some suggestions for a light off road/winter tire set for my US XJ650 Maxim (rolling on stock wheels). Not full on off road dirt riding of course, but do to being too stubborn/cheap/lazy/etc I do not own a car and would like to ride the bike through an Ohio winter to see how it goes :p Would also be nice to be able to venture onto a few not quite smooth roads now and then (gravel/unpaved, literally any road at all in Cleveland) with a bit more stability. Maybe something with light/small knobs? I do not know a whole lot about motorcycle tires and any input would be greatly appreciated

I wonder if someone has build a kind of adventure bike out of an XJ? Not full BMW GS type adventure bike but I bet you could do something cool with a Maxim. Engines and drivetrains sure are dead reliable for long trips

I remember driving through Cleveland a couple times over the last three years, the roads are horrible, no offense to you.

None taken, all roads in Ohio are like driving on a corrugated tin roof
