Speedometer cable?

    My 1982 xj650 is missing its speedometer cable, I have access to an 82 xv920, would the cable from that one be able to be used in the xj650?

    Start a conversation with Chacal to get the correct speedometer cable. The last time I ordered one through Yamaha it took a month to arrive, and it was the wrong cable.

    There is a shop I can order them at in town and he can get them next day. I was just wondering since I have access to it.

    But Chacal will make sure you have the correct part! Twice now local shops or online shops have gotten the wrong item to me, even though they ordered what was listed for my XJ550. There are so many versions of these bikes.

    I love to shop local when possible - but I am siding with Cgutz on this one.

    If the shop doesn't have it on the shelf then they are ordering on-line from any variety of sources - bet that none of the sources is XJ4Ever, and that is the only source that has got your back.
