Hi everyone. I've been fighting with this for month now. The speedometer is acting up...at low speed works sometimes but at high speeds start jumping. It goes from 55 to 25 back and forth. Changed the cable. Disasembled the mechanism that attach to the front wheel, cleaned, putted back together and still the same. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes just had this on my bike, disconnect speedo cable, pull cluster out of bracket remove back cover there are 2 screws holding speedo ,remove and pull out . Do NOT touch face of speedo(finger prints) and DO NOT touch needle (fragile) I sprayed PB blaster with nozzle the flywheel this is behind face plate and tip speedo up where speedo cable attaches apply grease with a needle tip grease gun or syringe. In addition put a little grease on the bevel gears . This should be all you need to do , mine worked fine after wards.

Ok. Tried to do that nut when I opened the cluster I saw everything was crack under it. May be for a crash before I got the bike ( I owned for 6 years now) everything is glued together, so I didn't go too far. What I did is sprayed wd40 where the cable connect to the speedometer and closed everything again. Then I went to the front wheel pulled the asembly apart and there is a kind of washer with winds wich I closed to the inside a little bit, putted back together back in the wheel and so far is working...it didnt acting now but I didnt have thr chance to try it at high speed on the route yet. So far it get to 45 mph without anu acting or jumping...

Ok...took the bike to the open road and at 4000rpm the speed said I was riding at 65mph. Could be that right? Second, when I rode again next day the speedo was acting up again and barely passing the 35mph line at 4000rpms....

Here is another question. Is this the original piece? It seems that fit too loose.
