Intake manifold gasket

    I'm about to install a new set of rubber intake boots with new gaskets onto the motor. Is it recommended that I treat the gaskets with anything prior to install? such as any silicone grease? or are they good to go as is? all new parts were purchased from Chacal.

    I gave mine a light coat of silicone grease on both sides and tightened to spec. No leaks.

    I prefer to use Permatex Copper spray gasket dressing. It's a bit less messy.

    I prefer just putting a smear of grease on both sides of gasket ..if you ever have to remove makes it real easy.
