carb boots

    I made these for my wife's bike to replace the stock rubber ones. Silicone hose or rubber for the connection to the carbs? I've heard mixed thoughts on silicone and fuel. IMG_2512[1].JPG

    I'm not an expert, but I think they are made of rubber so they can flex as needed when the engine moves around. The intake and carb boots provide the mount between the engine and the airbox, hence the need to be flexible. If you are running pods, it may not be an issue.

    The metal ones sure a pretty however.

    KZ440 ltd. I would like to make a set for my 650rj but a little more work with the ports and they have a slight angle toward cylinder head

    The 650rj carbs don't have vacuum ports, so those would need to be on the manifolds...
