New user and xj550 restoration project

    Hi everyone, my name is Dino. I live in the south of Italy, nearby Amalfi and Sorrento. A friend and colleague of mine gave me a non runner '83 xj550 Seca (euro model) which has been left for 15 years in his backyard. This is my first bike ever and there is a lot of work to be done. I will soon open a thread posting some photos of the bike as I'll gladly accept any help and advice you feel led to offer :)

    I'm sure K-moe is coming soon. The usual advice. Information overload, read it multiple times. Go through each system rather than trying to spot fix individual issues. Will result in a reliable / safe bike versus chasing your tail with issue after issue.
