So I just got done takin off my carbs and cleaning them brand spankin new. I went to put them back on the bike and can't remember how the throttle cable connects into the little metal thing. I remember takin it off was tricky but don't remember how to reverse it... CAN ANYONE SHOW ME A DIAGRAM OR PICTURE OF HOW IT ATTACHES?

    Thanks.

    It takes about 3 hands:

Throttle cable locates in the center of the carb rack. There is a bracket there with a cup on it that the cable jacket sits in.

    Install from right side.

    1) Do not put the cable through the cup. Leave it off for now.

    2) There is a linkage to the butterfly shaft on the carbs. Lift it straight up between carbs 2 & 3. It has a hole in it the cable bullet goes into.

    3) There is a slot in the linkage about 120 degrees from vertical that allows the cable to pass into the center. Twist the cable and jacket so the cable aligns with the slot and the bullet aligns with the hole.

    4) The cable will twist so the bullet is sideways and won't go into the hole. Use 3rd hand to rotate bullet and push into hole. Lift up on throttle cable rotating bullet and getting cable out of slot and up into center gap in the linkage.

    5) There is a slot on the front of the cup on the bracket. Hard to see with carbs on bike. Lift up on cable assembly and slide cable through slot. Drop jacket down into cup.

    Done.
