For Sale 1982 xj750 project $250

Ugly as sin. Someone tried to build a bobber out of it. Was told that the motor had been rebuilt and bored. I have no clue. I do know that the motor sounds real healthy. No ticking, no knocking. It will run. But only on 1-4 at the moment. It needs a tci box. Dudes genius wiring was the cause of that. I just cleaned the carbs also. They are spotless. I want to say it's am 82 or 83. I have a clean title to it but it is in my truck at the moment, I'll check later. Comes as you see it minus the battery. Located in gadsden tn. $250.

If the handlebars are original to the bike, it's an '83

 

The bars are not original. I looked at the titlend and the frame, it's an '82.

what is the serial number on the engine.....??? the first 3 Alpha/numeric ???

Looking at the picture i don't think it's a 750j foot pegs and kickstand are not right.

 

Nope-not 750j... 750R-- that's a 750 seca frame

I just picked this bike up on a trade! Looking to see where I should start with it.

 

It's the same bike.... but now you have a hideous tank to go with it.... and the rear tire is now almost flat. Otherwise, the description still tha same as before.

Please start your own thred on that bike, you will be asking lots of questions. I do hope you got it at great price and that you have $$ to put into her.

Tank is way to big for that bike. I'll definitely be getting a different one.

 

I will definitely start a thread on it. I have absolutely zero money in it. Traded for a go cart that the motor wouldn't turn over. I'll post pics in the thread I start. And thanks for the links.
