    Hey guys!
So my xj550 doesn't have a tacho and today (it's a project) I noticed that there was a little spinning thing just under the oil cooler at the front of the engine.
Now, I'm assuming that's where the tacho usually gets its mechanical input from?
I don't intend to reuse that spot for a tacho, and it looks like it slowly leaks oil too. So my question is; does anyone know the size and thread I would need for a cap to delete the tacho output on the engine head?

    Thanks :)

To cover mine on my 1980 650 I used quick steel just on the outside of the threads, seem to work good for me, have a good one
