Rattle in exhaust?

    My headers and mufflers are fine but where the four comine into two there is a bad rattle that sound like hell. Is there something inside that has to be removed or do I need a new part?

    My 81 750xj sounds the same. I can not isolate it but it appears(sounds) like it eminates from the exhaust area under oil drain plug. Pls let me know if you resolve it and I will do the same -

    Your motor probably crapped a valve or two and spit it into your exhaust... Kidding, kidding. Maybe a coupler somewhere moving around.
