Ok, work has been crazy, so progress has slowed. Thanks to some on here with parts and advice help, the carbs are going to be saved. Thank goodness for parts hoarders and WD40! Did get some other stuff taken care of in the mean time though. IMG_20170828_173838178.jpg IMG_20170828_173828356.jpg

Still need to get the engine cleaned up and painted and address the exhaust, but so far I'm enjoying this build. I know it's hard for some on here to see one cut up, but I think it'll be a great bike when completed.

I think that the guy I'm taking them to does all that. Some idiot painted them.

You will obviously need floats.....the challenge w I'll be too get the float hinge pins out without breaking the towers.v on ones like this, I usually cut the pin on both sides of the float, then heat/soak/drill the remains stubs out of the towers.

    Good luck

I actually got the floats freed up with lots of soaking in wd40. I am taking them to a guy that that's what he does, carbs and dyno tuning. I have thought about just getting the pins out myself before taking the carbs to him, that way I'm to blame if it breaks.

Well, when you can't get the black off, put more on. IMG_20170902_173353914_HDR~2.jpg IMG_20170902_173332420_HDR~2.jpg IMG_20170902_173342205~2.jpg
