although the Midnight Maxim thread is in the Hangout Lounge I resisted the urge to take that thread off course... cause, you know, Len is involved with it.... :)

Matti mentioned a 'careless whisper' and immediately my mind went to this. At least watch until about 0:55 where he is in the mall and gets busted.

I didn't want to offend the Encyclopedic man by hi-jacking his thoughts.... ;)

Now that you watched the video, don't be surprised when you wake up tomorrow morning with that tune in your head.

It was already in my dreams last night, and I woke up in the back yard, slow dancing with a stump. Wtf does that mean? What would Freud say?

I love how it is clear that he only knows the one song and only that part of it.

Still one of my favorite songs though.

Omg, hilarious! I love that song though and it kind of sucked to hear him butcher it. I play the sax myself (awesomely lol) and he hurts my ears lol. But it is kind of hard to play the alto well, I prefer the tenor and baritone saxophone myself :p

I played bari sax in high school (jazz and marching band) and bass sax in concert band... keeping it low and staying out of treble.

Oh my, marching with the bari sax! Ouch! I played the bass clarinet in marching band lol. And tenor sax and flute in concert band, trumpet and tenor and bari sax in jazz band, and trumpet in all state band. One year they had me playing the trombone for a bit o_O I was the jack of all trades in bands I guess, they threw me on whatever they needed because I could play whatever lol. When they did the individual contest practices sometimes they even had me doing the piano accompaniments.

I live in a town with an amateur circus, (performers are under 21 and unpaid lol) that has a professional band that plays for the shows. (adults) That's mostly where I played the bari sax. I was, and think I probably still am, the only high school student that was in the Circus City band. You can actually look us up and hear us play, they sell CD's and everything. I remember one year having a solo during the Mission Impossible theme we played while the high wire act performed. I sat next to my church choir director who played the bass guitar lol

I guess I was like the ultimate band geek haha. ;)

    You are not alone.
You'd be amazed at how many former band members are here. There was a music thread going on for a while. I was baritone horn and valve trombone. Somewhere between a French horn and a tuba.

Here's the old one, in case you want the embarrassing confessions:
