I have been looking to gert some turn out, or slashcut exhaust for my 82 maxim 750 and hopefully get a little straighter line (instead of the up angle). I found a set of turn outs for a 82 650 but cant seem to find for 750 does anyone know where I could find, or a way to mod for the look I'd like? thanks

Are you looking for something like what's on my Maxim? The pipes came with my bike so I'm not sure what brand they are. I guess I could look if there is a brand name on them. But I haven't seen it in the past.

I used to live in Shakopee, MN. There is a great bike bone yard 'Sport Wheels' just south from there. I think it's in Jordan. I believe they sell used and new parts. Might want to give them a call once you know what you are looking for

yes was looking for something similar to the ones you have, very nice look to them. Yep know the place was actually looking at bikes out there before i picked this one up the place is huge!! I have actually come across a couple pipes that look good, one located at JC Whitney's web site except looks like all i find dont help the upward slant from before the extension would be placed, or they do not show they will fit the 750 like i found on MAC only has 650 turn outs? and not sure those will fit, other issue i find is the diam. of the pipes i need so far i think (with out measuring) i need pipes for 1 inch?

Hey,regulator, hope you are doing well. Check out mikesxs.com. They are a supplier of parts for xs 650 Yamahas, but many of their parts are universal. They have a great selection of mufflers at very reasonable prices.I ordered a set of slash-cuts for my 82 650 Maxim, and they will look great after I finish modifying the crossover to accept them(on the 650 maxim, the mufflers are welded to crossover section halves). They offer free shipping on orders over $35,and their service is top-notch! Hope this helps,Danno.

Just got my Chapparal catalog last night, and they have a Mac exhaust listed that looks almost identical to Sno's. Could be the same one I guess...

Maybe I mis-read, could have been for the 750, but the 650/750's are identical anyway.

Just wanted to ask a quick question, since I too am going to purchase exhaust for my 83 750 maxim....the MAC performance catalog says the 4 into 2 turn out style is for the 82 650s only.....what are the differences between the two years that would make this fit just 82?

    thanks.
