I am chasing a handlebar Control for my 550. It’s the left side which has the following.
    - Hi Flash
    - Hi & Lo Beam
    - Choke
    - Indicators
    - Horn

Picture attached is what I’m after! thank you!

Jenkins, you will have to find the control you want and then brake out the wiring schematic for your bike. The control will have to fit your current bar size, not too sure if you have a loner control in mind or what bike it is off?

As for the re-wiring of the controls I am sure it can be done. Just blow up the schematic and work with one control at a time. Once you get it working, make it easy to connect/disconnect and water tight, move on to the next control.

Have some extra fuses on hand and I would highly recommend disconnecting your CDI or ignition box so nothing happens to it while you are dong the mods.

Keep us posted and good luck. Post updates to this thred so we can keep up with your progress.

Not so much anything wrong with it. Just the HI/Low Beam plastic toggle has snapped off. Unless you guys are aware of where I can buy one of these? Haha

You can replace the switch lever. I don't know if the US type switch (no flash to pass button) has the same but I can't imagine it would be different. I'd need to see it apart to know. I doubt you'll find just that part but should be easy to find the whole assembly used.

you can see the pass button on this 650 uk diagram all it does is connect to high beam to turn it on when you push button . high low switch should be the same in a 550 euro and 550 US control as well as the 650 controls in both bikes US and Euro
you should be able to just swap out the switch from another control into your control if you want to keep the pass button function

    also in haynes manual

if your switch is the same as above just scavange one from a control

I would think shipping from US to you would be high for the switch I posted above

there is no real source for the switch parts just used controllers. If the photo i posted matches your switch part start a conversation with me by clicking on my avatar.
give me your address and I will find out the cost of postage and see if you want to move forward.

if you click on the photos i posted you will see larger photos

I got an fz07 control switch and wired it in place of the stock switch.works great, has flash to pass, and was like $25 on eBay. The wire colors are the same and takes no time to install.

Your problem will be the choke lever - there are lots of replacement left side switch assemblies that will work - just not with the choke part. I might be able to help you out - let me see what's in the garage later

there are a few threads on relocating choke lever ,using a shift lever from a bicycle was one mounted to the carbs another used a pull choke like one that is used on cars to replace automatic chokes

The auto cancel switch contacts are also a consideration if you want to maintain that feature. I am not sure if the above mentioned switch (or others) would incorporate that feature.

On mine, I made a custom choke, and did away with the self canceling signal relay when I switched to led signals.
