650 maxim rear shocks

    What can be done with the rear shocks? Can they be rebuilt or just get a new pair.

    I have progressive ones on my seca
    Much better than the original ones.

    Wow thanks I'll see what I can find down here, I'll keep you in mind. I have a 750 maxim seat I may modify the pan to fit my 650 maxim.

    What is the issue with the existing seat?

    When I had my 650 seat repaired I was given a 'loaner' seat - think it was off of a Honda (no idea what model/ year) one of those big rectangular jobbies.. It fit securely and looked kind wonky. But man my buttock was really happy with it. Not sure if you got any bone yards around.

    The the seat that came on the bike is oversized someone said it look like an 1100 seat had a metal pan and some was taken out.

    Kinda hard to do, the 650 seat has "welded-in" nuts to accept bolts which retain the release bar/latch mechanism. 750 seats use an entirely different arrangement.

    We do have complete "rebuilt" seats (pan/foam/new seat cover) available if interested.
