Hello from Central New York

Hello from Norwich NY.was given a very rough xj650 and hope to make something out of it. have been playing with bikes for years and hope to make something from it and hope to get to know a few of you in the process. I didn't see a newbie thread here and if I am posting this in the wrong place please let me know.thank you

 

you are in correct forum to introduce yourself, is it a seca or maxim 650?

it is a maxim.it's a little rough and haven't been able to play with it much yet.spent some time sitting on it's side so I hope she's not set up but I have no $$$ in it yet so... thank you for the link to the northeast/Canada thread

 

You have found your most useful tool here. The geniuses on this site can turn you into a master mechanic. You might have a hard time finding any used parts in your area, as you are located near to a black hole, the swirling gyroscopic force known as Dave's (AKA Hogfiddles) Xj Hoard. For new parts, xj4ever, link at the top right corner, is THE spot. The guy who runs it is great, helpful, and in the know.

So yeah, I'll be able to hook him up with just about anything he'll need. I still have one or two xj650 parts around.

Or maybe I should say, I still one or two xj650's around....... and a few more ...... and a lot of parts....and a few more---- lol
