    One of the members saw this XS400 I did for a client and thought I should start a thread about it. Here goes... Basics to my builds are to tighten up the envelope (dropped gauge pack, shortened seat and fender, hide the horn, etc.). Did all of that and a few other mods to this one.     I like it - kinda looks like you did a restore but updated the design. Still looks like a vintage production bike but with more of a modern vibe.

    Yep, that was the look I was going for. A nice, clean classic with a few mods that are hard to really see. Plus the seat still swings up like the factory unit.

    Thanks! I don't know for sure but I think it takes longer to make the mods more hidden and subtle. My other bikes are on the Dime City Cycles blog in August. Two new projects in the garage, a Yamaha Maxim and a Kaw KZ750.
