Engine rotations and signal output

    I am trying to set up a digital taco for 1982 xj750 seca and i need to know what setting to put it on. Its asking for how many number of engine rotations and how many signals???? Totally lost with this i would appreicate any input on this if anyone could help.

    with each rotation of the motor you get 2 pulses from the pickup coils which fires the tci twice per rotation.
    Yamaha ignition is known as a wasted spark ignition because it fires both spark plugs on the coil pack with each rotation

    so if your tach is hooked to the coil pack or spark plug wire it fires twice with every rotation
